Garbage is undoubtedly an issue that almost all of the countries in the world need to confront. Some easily degradable trash needs to be well considered for recycling in order to save natural resources while some trash containing heavy metals is supposed to be collected and handled appropriately in order to reduce the detrimental metallic contamination. In people’s common sense, there are several categories for garbage ranging from daily kitchen wastes to industrial effluent. However, consciousness is not equivalent to action.

Here’s the problem and find it.

Forth levels of reasons, I think, cause the phenomenon of the improper disposal of garbage in my city， Jinan. First, people do not implement their “common sense” into their actions. Government should be responsible for that because a large portion of neighborhood in Jinan does not have the requirement for classifying garbage. Each individual should also be a candidate to practice classifying garbage because even though some communities provide rules and specific trash bins for classifying garbage, some people still do what they think convenient rather than environmental friendly. Second, good models for classifying garbage are not accentuated. For instance, Yanshan community has rules for classifying garbage and administrators provide each family with four trash bins for some rough classifications of garbage. However, although some families did in that way for several weeks first, they gave up and just followed the other families after a short period of practicing. Third, since every government wants economic enhancement, classifying garbage should explore a way to get over the financial problems such as the expanse on supervising the classifying procedure and buying the classifying trash bins. At most times, the limit on financial support is the most important and urgent problem. Forth, the methods and knowledge for classification of garbage are not sufficient. Most standards for classification now still only refer to recyclable and unrecyclable garbage. In fact, many other standards like paper, glass, metal and plastics applied in some western country like America should be widely used to provide more convenience for the ultimate wastes’ recycling and degradation.

Here’s the solution and do it.

　　As for solutions, admittedly, citizen’s steps follow the government’s methods. Enough facilities such as various trash bins can be well regulated and used by government to let people do classification with ease. If people can be encouraged to do so under whatever stimulation, they can cultivate a motivation and habit to do so more frequently. Relevant laws should also be proposed. Even though there is no specific and serious punishment involving in these laws, certain rewards can be set up to encourage the classification of garbage. For example, for some companies which adopt classification of garbage, the government can reduce their taxes. Secondly, Government’s methods base on the company’s help. Companies can provide financial support to government and more diverse platforms to citizens for classifying garbage. For example, they can devise some internet games about the test of the knowledge of the garbage classification and thus people can cultivate their interests in the garbage classification and know more information about it. Finally, we concentrate on the financial part. The basic pattern for the relatively huge input of the construction of classification system can yield a lot of ways for benefits. For example, the logistics of classification needs more employers, which can bring more jobs to lower the unemployment and to ensure the city’s stability. What is more, the recycling of garbage like paper and glass can save resources. Above all, governments represent people’s desire. People’s desire needs environmentalists to model it. Therefore, where are the environmentalists to give environmental protection direction? It’s not a difficult question to answer, you and I can be environmentalists to protect environment from our abilities just as high school students. He and she can also be environmentalists to protect environment by their own ways. Here’s our environment and protect it. Everything is not a consciousness yet an action. Every idea is not a fancy yet a reality. Every individual is not a powerless environmentalist yet a meaningful follower towards our hopeful future!
