On October 16, our school warmly welcomed the leaders of Suwon Meitan High School in the meeting room of the library and solemnly held the signing ceremony of establishing a friend-school relationship with Meitan High School in South Korea.

The signing ceremony was presided over by Zhang Zhongjun, deputy secretary and vice principal of the West Campus of Shandong Experimental High School (SEHS). Ding Yi, deputy director of the Office of overseas Chinese Affairs; Lu Caixia, principal of the West Campus of SEHS; vice principal Zhong Hongjun; directors of different departments; and teacher representatives of our school warmly welcomed Xu Lizhi, principal of Suiyuan Meitan High School, and his entourage.

Principal Lu Caixia gave a speech to introduce the details of the educational values and cases of our school. Principal Xu Lizhi responded with his gratitude, and the two schools reached a consensus on cultivating students' independent learning motivations and sense of qualified world citizens. Then the two sides solemnly held a signing ceremony after discussing and agreeing on the specific contents of the agreement. They exchanged gifts characteristic of each school’s education and containing the wish of "lighting the lamp of China-South Korea friendship.” After the signing ceremony, accompanied by the leaders of our school, the delegation of Suwon Meitan High School visited the campus, and they gave high recognition of the teaching facilities and managing concepts of our school.

Under the guidance of superior departments, the two schools will exchange educational experiences through exchange visits between teachers and students in order to share high-quality educational resources and valuable experiences between the two countries. Through the exchange of students, the schools can enhance the understanding of each other's countries and the awareness of international cooperative learning.

     On the 70th anniversary of our school, guided by Jinan and Shuiyuan municipal corporations, the signing ceremony was based on the idea that students can share the diversity of international education and culture. The establishment of friendly relations with Suwon Meitan High School in South Korea is a birthday gift dedicated to the school and will certainly provide more opportunities for teachers and students of the two schools to learn from each other.       Translator：Ren Yifei
